cafe常々における展示の写真撮影

愛知県常滑市の盆栽鉢製陶所をリノベーションしたカフェ「常々」。
そこで開かれた、常滑で活動する陶芸作家3人の展示「うねに入る、ふるえている」を撮影させて頂いた。

The cafe “TSUNE ZUNE” is a renovated bonsai pottery factory in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture.
I had the privilege of photographing the exhibition “Unenihairu, Furueteiru” held there by three ceramic artists active in Tokoname.

カフェに隣接した、昔の面影が残る展示空間。
床や、窓際、柱や部屋の隅まで、いたるところに作品が散りばめられていた。

Adjacent to the café, the exhibition space retains the atmosphere of the past.
Works of art were scattered everywhere, on the floor, by the windows, on the pillars, and in the corners of the room.

いつもなら窓から気持ちのいい陽光がさすのだが、撮影当日は曇り。
冬の柔らかな光が、薄暗い空間の中で作品を美しく浮き上がらせていた。

Normally, there is pleasant sunlight coming through the window, but it was cloudy on the day of the shooting.
The soft winter light brought out the beauty of the work in the dimly lit space.

どこまでが作品なのかと聞きたくなる程自然な配置に、目を見張って空間を物色する。

The arrangement was so natural that I wanted to ask how much of it was the work of art, and I poked my head around the space.

作品と空間の境界線が曖昧になることで、普段作品とは呼び得ない道具や材料たちまでもが、作品として意味を帯び始めている気がした。

By blurring the line between the work and the space, I felt that the tools and materials that are not usually called works of art were beginning to take on meaning.
