森に囲まれた美術館で開催された企画展と建築の記録

北川原温の展覧会が、彼自身の設計による山梨県北杜市の中村キース・ヘリング美術館で開催された。
美術館は八ヶ岳の麓の豊かな森に囲まれた場所に建っている。

An exhibition by Atsushi Kitagawara was held at the Nakamura Keith Haring Collection in Hokuto, Yamanashi, a museum he designed himself.
The museum stands within a rich forest at the foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains.

撮影を行ったのは初夏。
下見に訪れた冬には木々の葉が落ち、建物の輪郭が際立って見えていたが、再び訪れると深い緑に覆われ、建物に木漏れ日が落ちていた。
季節の違いによって自然と建築のバランスが変化し、その印象もまた移ろっていくことを実感した。

The work was captured in early summer.
When we visited the site in winter on a previous visit, the leaves had fallen and the outline of the building was clearly visible. When we returned, it was covered in deep green, with dappled light falling across the architecture.
Through these seasonal differences, the balance between nature and architecture shifted, and the overall impression of the space changed as well.

展示室では、北川原自身のドローイングや建築模型、影響を受けた資料などが、キース・ヘリングの作品とともに、ひとつの空間に散在する。
それらは星座のようにゆるやかな関係を結びながら、思考の軌跡として立ち上がっていた。

In the exhibition space, Kitagawara’s drawings, architectural models, and references that informed his work are dispersed alongside works by Keith Haring.
They form loose constellations, emerging as traces of his thinking.

展示は美術館にとどまらず、北川原温設計のホテルキーフォレストや小淵沢駅でも同時に展開されている。
それらをつなぐ森や八ヶ岳の風景も含め、全体をひとつの風景として捉えることを意識した。

The exhibition extends beyond the museum, unfolding across multiple sites including Hotel Keyforest and Kobuchizawa Station, both also designed by Kitagawara.
Including the forest and surrounding landscape of Yatsugatake that connect these sites, the work was approached as a single, continuous scene.
