青々とした新緑が芽吹き始めた5月、とある美術館にて結婚式が執り行われた。

In May, when lush new greenery began to sprout, a wedding ceremony was held at a certain art museum.

ご夫婦が惚れ込んだ緑が美しい美術館。そこで起こるあらゆる瞬間を、建築と共に切り取ってほしいというご依頼を受け、式の準備から撤収までありのままの姿を記録した。

The couple fell in love with this museum with its beautiful greenery. We were asked to capture every moment that took place there, along with the architecture, and on the day of the ceremony, we recorded the ceremony as it was, from preparation to take-down.

当日は会場準備のため、フローリストやケータリング、プランナー達が朝から着々と準備を進め、新郎新婦と共に最終確認をしていた。

On the day of the event, florists, caterers, and planners were steadily preparing the venue from the morning, working with the bride and groom to make final checks.

式が終われば元の美術館に戻るわけだが、その日のために多くの人が準備をして式を作り上げる。その一瞬一瞬の物語や美しさは、主人公である新郎新婦も一部始終を見ることはできない。

Once the ceremony is over, the museum returns to its original location, but many people prepare for the day and create the ceremony. The story and beauty of every moment of the ceremony cannot be seen in its entirety, not even by the bride and groom, who are the main characters.

そう考えた時、参列者の様子はもちろん刻一刻と移ろう光さえも最大限丁寧に掬い上げることが我々の役割だと思った。

With this in mind, we felt it was our role to carefully scoop up the maximum amount of information about the attendees and even the light that was changing from moment to moment.

tohaとしては初のウェディング撮影だったため、緊張が走る瞬間はあったが、ありのままを撮影してほしいという要望やお2人の人柄にとても助けられた。
時間が経った今でも、賑やかな声が鮮明に蘇る本当に素敵な式だったと改めて思う。

As this was toha’s first wedding shoot, there were moments of nervousness, but the couple’s personality and their request to be photographed as they were helped me a lot.
I think again that it was a truly wonderful ceremony, with the lively voices still vividly remembered even now that time has passed.
