過去と現在がつながる静かな温泉宿の映像・写真の記録。

岐阜県・恵那峡の豊かな水と山岳に囲まれた温泉宿。開業からの既存の建物を残した上で再構築され、2025年冬リニューアルオープンを迎えた。

A hot spring inn in Ena Gorge, Gifu Prefecture, surrounded by lush mountains and abundant water. The property was renovated while preserving the original buildings from when it first opened, and reopened in the winter of 2025.

入り口を入ってすぐ、ロビーの大空間と優しく光が伸びるR天井に、視線が自然と奥まで抜けていく。そして統一されたブラウントーンと静かにゆらめく暖炉の炎が、森の中にいるような落ち着いた空気感を作り上げていた。

As soon as you step through the entrance, your gaze is naturally drawn deep into the space by the spacious lobby and the gently lit vaulted ceiling. The unified brown tones and the softly flickering flames of the fireplace create a calm atmosphere that feels as though you are in the heart of a forest.

開業から増築を重ねられた館内には、幾つもの通路が張り巡らされている。壁面に点在する照明と柱の木々により動線が明確化され、廊下を進むにつれて目的地への期待感が高まるのを感じた。

The building, which has undergone numerous expansions since its opening, is crisscrossed by a network of corridors. The lighting scattered along the walls and the wooden pillars clearly define the pathways, and as I walked down the hall, I could feel my anticipation for my destination growing.

ここでの撮影は、空間を記録すると同時に滞在の気配をすくい上げることを意識した。
過去と現在がゆるやかに繋がる空間を宿泊者の目線に立ち丁寧に記録することで、
大江戸温泉物語がこれからも歴史を刻んでいくようにと。

In photographing this space, I focused on capturing not only the physical environment but also the atmosphere of the guests’ stay.
By carefully documenting this space—where past and present are gently intertwined—from the guests’ perspective,
I hope that Oedo Onsen Monogatari will continue to make its mark on history.
